Northwest Valley born and raised. A husband, a dad, and the guy behind We Do Hardscape.
This business wasn’t built to be just another landscaping company. To understand the work, it helps to know the story behind it.
A little about how I got here ↓
IT STARTED ON THE FIELD
Learning what it means
to earn the day.
I started playing football at four years old and never stopped. There’s a specific feeling that comes with growing up on a field—getting dirty, getting worn out, working your body until you’re wrecked, and knowing exactly what you earned that day. That feeling shaped how I still think about work today.
I played at Mountain Ridge High School, then college ball at the University of North Dakota. I later transferred to Arizona Christian University to be closer to family while my wife and I raised our daughter, Ava.
AFTER THE FINAL WHISTLE
A different field.
The same drive.
After college, my wife and I started a health and fitness company together. I worked part time as a teacher and coach, and along the way helped open a couple of HIIT training facilities.
That led to a full-time role at Arizona Christian University, my alma mater. I worked across alumni relations and served on the board through the campus’s transition to its new location in Glendale.
Throughout that season, I did a lot of public speaking—from university events bringing in donors to guest speaking for nonprofits I was personally invested in because of my own testimony.
THE PEOPLE WHO MATTER MOST
A life built
together.
My wife has been part of this journey—from starting a business together to raising our daughter and building a life here in Arizona.
I still remember bringing her to meet my grandfather for the first time. From that day on, he told me straight up that she was way out of my league.
I still think he was right.
2020 / AN INVITATION THAT CHANGED THE DIRECTION
“There’s enough room at the table for everybody to eat. All you have to do is say yes.”

Leaving the desk.
Finding my way.
I eventually moved into a role as a brand manager for a digital marketing company—a desk, a screen, and none of the physical work I’d always known. Something in me just wasn’t right. I didn’t know how to feel accomplished without sweat involved.
In 2020, my older brother, already a few years into this industry, gave me the opportunity to work alongside him.
I left the desk behind and started building with my hands instead, thinking: if I get really good at this, I can feel as dirty, as worn out, and as accomplished as I ever did on the football field.
I was right.
BUILDING SOMETHING OF MY OWN
That’s how
We Do Hardscape began.
A few years later, it was time to branch out on my own. That’s when We Do Hardscape was born. The name says it all. So does our slogan: Where Life Happens Outside.
I truly believe God made us to spend most of our time outdoors—being creative, working with our hands, just like we did as kids.
I built We Do Hardscape as a family operation, hands-on with every project from the first walkthrough to the last.
